JCLC Summer Camp
JCLC is a Junior Cadet Leadership Course that helps JROTC cadets learn the importance of trusting in their teammates and building confidence in one another while improving their leadership skills.
The course is ready from the start to test the limits of your endurance, stamina, and leadership capabilities. As a team of cadets from various schools from various states Junior Army cadets continue in their Army Strong efforts to stay in the game and finish what they started as they grow in confidence and leadership during the six-day camp adventure.
. The typical daily routine for JCLC attendants consists of a 5:30 a.m. wake up call, movement to breakfast at 6:30 a.m., with strength, confidence and leadership training beginning as early as 8am, and continuing throughout the day. Some of the camp activities consist of water survival training, a high ropes course and rope bridges, first aid, rappel/confidence course, and leader’s reaction course.
Now the camp wasn’t always about training but it was also there to build comradely between cadets. After a hard day’s work cadets would gather in teams and have intramurals. Intramurals helped us with improve out teamwork skills and build comradely among the different schools and cadets.
JCLC is an amazing experience because it brought you closer with cadets from your school and cadets from other schools.
